GlobalHack Announces Code with a Cause 2019 Nonprofit Partners

January 16th, 2019 (ST. LOUIS)We’re excited to announce the nonprofits selected to participate in Code with a Cause 2019 on the weekend of February 22-24. These 10 organizations will partner with 50+ skills-based volunteers to tackle a variety of tech projects.

ACLU Missouri (American Civil Liberties Union) defends and preserves the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person by the Constitution and laws of the United States.

 

 

ALIVE (Alternatives to Living in Violent Environments) exists to provide counseling, emergency sanctuary and other critical services to adults and children impacted by domestic abuse, and increases awareness of domestic violence in order to create a supportive community.

 

 

earthday365 hosts the annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival, which is now recognized as one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the country. In addition to the festival, their year-round programming impacts millions of individuals.

 

 

 

GenerateHealth mobilizes and inspires the St. Louis region to advance racial equity in pregnancy outcomes, family well-being and community health.

 

Girls in the Know educates and empowers girls, together with those who love them, by providing tools to establish a strong sense of self.

 

Home Sweet Home connects nonprofit partners in the St. Louis region with donated furniture and household items. They help clients transition to their new living situations with much-needed furnishings and basics.

 

 

 

Missouri Confluence Waterkeeper focuses on keeping our water clean and is dedicated to protecting the right to fishable, swimmable, drinkable water for all Missourians.

 

 

St. Louis BWorks shows local children what’s possible. Their volunteer-led programs build confidence and character through educational programs rooted in teamwork and responsibility.

 

St. Louis College Prep believes a child’s access to a great education should not be determined by their zip code. The year-round school provides free education and transportation to over 300 students in 6th through 11th grade.

 

Wings of Hope is a global humanitarian charity that uses planes to deliver resources to the poor and aims to save lives through the power of aviation.
