GlobalHack Announces Slate of New Board Members
May 15, 2018 (ST. LOUIS) – GlobalHack, a St. Louis-based nonprofit, welcomes four new members to its Board of Directors. Board members are community leaders who demonstrate interest and commitment to GlobalHack’s mission of driving social impact through technology.
The new board members include:
Dana Hildebrand, Solution Principal, Slalom
Dana Hildebrand is a Solution Principal specializing in Enterprise Data Strategy at Slalom, a management consulting firm that helps companies tackle their most ambitious projects and build new capabilities. As a former software engineer she found a passion for empowering young people with the ability to code through volunteer and mentorship efforts. Dana is a St. Louis native and who is fiercely loyal to the Cardinals and the Blues and loves walking her dog through Forest Park.
Haley Shoaf, VP of Impact, LaunchCode
Haley is the Vice President of Impact at LaunchCode, an organization dedicated to solving the tech talent gap by creating pathways for people from non-traditional backgrounds to launch upwardly mobile careers in technology. In that role, she oversees student and candidate facing program operations, along with organizational community engagement efforts. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and was a Venture for America fellow in St. Louis. Prior to her current role, she has worked in technical product management, and with several prison education programs.
Julie Lawson, CEO, Sentient Strategies
Julie Lawson has more than 20 years’ experience as a nonprofit leader, women’s advocate and leadership consultant. She is the Founder and CEO of Sentient Strategy, a leadership development consulting company serving St. Louis, Kansas City and Denver. She has served as Executive Director of the Crime Victim Advocacy Center, Missouri Supreme Court Commission on Racial and Ethnic Fairness and the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis. In addition to a long career in nonprofits, as a leadership consultant Julie has trained more than 2,500 leaders and managers, with an emphasis in women’s leadership initiatives. She currently consults in leadership, team communication and change management for several Fortune 500 companies as well as small-to-midsize companies across the nation.
Dorian Tomace, Senior Consultant, Employee Digital Experience, Operations & Technology, Mastercard
With 19 years of experience in the payments industry, Dorian has held a variety of roles of increasing level of responsibility within Mastercard including: Global Marketing, US Retail Commerce Development, US Market Sales, Global Products & Solutions and Operations & Technology. As a prior global lead for the Mastercard Women in Technology initiative, Dorian was responsible for implementing the enterprise-wide strategy around growing Women in Technology partnerships, supporting talent recruiting and development efforts and education programs. Dorian is dedicated to corporate and community philanthropy. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri & Junior Achievement are a few of her favorites. Dorian also loves being outdoors. On any given weekend, you can find her hiking through Castlewood State Park, biking in Forest Park or playing kickball in Tower Grove Park.
